When you shop at teen web stores....

Last week I ordered this dress from Delia's.

I don't need it and I hate buying things online because you can't try them on, but it's so cute and me that I had to have it.

I also haven't shopped at Delia's since I was maybe 19. I thought it was the coolest store around because you could only get their stuff from the catalogue. And I was INTO catalogues. But then they opened a store at the Mall of Georgia and whenever I went there it was full of trendy 8th graders.

So I left Delia's in the past, right alongside 5-7-9 and Merry Go Round. I was turning into a real woman and stores that once made me vomit (Banana Republic, JCrew) became my new havens.

But then I saw this dress and had to have it and no one except me and you need to know it was bought on clearance from a store who's average customer age is 14.

The dress came today in the mail to my office. I ripped it open to try it on and included with my dress were:

  • free samples of Clearasil
  • coupons for ProActiv
  • a booklet about Benzaclin
  • a booklet about the Yaz, everyone's fav birth control pill
  • coupons for Frito-Lay chips
Oh to be a teen again.
