PS: From ages 5- 7 I honestly believed that I would become Jem if my mom would just get the damned earrings for me. Then I got them. And they didn't work. And I was over Jem and back to Barbie. Barbie didn't sell crap earrings that don't make holograms. I could trust Barbie and back in 1988 I needed toys that I could trust.
