Summer 2010 has been GREAT. I decided to Just Say Yes to everything and I ended up in a lot of really cool places like Gaga loving bars Mallorca, Spain and tents in a front yard in Bumblefuck, PA. I also found myself in situations that are very much Not-Brandy - aka kayaking and going topless on the beach. As much as I hate admitting it, this is the last summer of my 20s and I wanted to make sure I had an amazing time.
Saying yes has taught me a lot about myself, the most surprising being that I don't really hate water so much and I'm not as afraid to swim as I thought I was. I was in the ocean by myself without floaties. I was on a float in the middle of a lake and I didn't beg for a life jacket. I went into the deep end of a pool. Again without floaties. Noticing a pattern here? I mean I'm not a mermaid or anything yet but the thought of being in water where my feet didn't touch the bottom used to terrify me. And now I don't mind so much.....as long as I have a friend or two nearby who are ready to save me when I panic.
I've really been loving New York City this summer. I've been in my same apartment for over 5 years now and it's actually and truly my home. It's strange because it's not like I woke up one day and I was 29. I can go back through the blog or my facebook or even my practically defunct Myspace and I can see that I have definitely been living it up this whole time. Yet it still feels like I missed something.
But anyway, here are some fun pictures of things I said yes to:

Yes to new friends
Yes to fancy parties
Yes to kayaking
Yes to choreographing Gaga dances and performing them on the LES
Yes to hosting parties for really cool new friends I met while saying yes.
YES TO GAGA
YES TO GOING OUT LIKE GAGA
PS: I really like the template I decided on. But no promises that it won't change again. I'm like the blue wind. (you're welcome Xtos)

I love the idea of "saying yes" for a summer! Maybe I could try like a week of it.... :)
It definitely led me to some fun places!!
